Brown will serve as the Education Chair for a two-year term, commencing in January 2024.
SILA is a highly respected industry organization dedicated to the promotion and enhancement of the professional growth of individuals and companies in the insurance and securities licensing industry. The Education Chair is a crucial position that plays an instrumental role in shaping and advancing educational initiatives within the organization.
As Education Chair, Brandi Brown will bring her wealth of knowledge and experience in regulatory affairs to spearhead SILA’s educational efforts. Her qualifications and contributions to the industry align perfectly with the responsibilities outlined for the Education Board Member, as specified in SILA’s guidelines. Key qualifications for this position include being an active or honorary member of SILA for a minimum of three years, and the preferred qualification is a demonstrated leadership experience within SILA, Inc., SILA Foundation, or similar organizations.
In her role, Brown will work closely with the SILA Foundation to provide educational courses to the organization’s membership. She will also review current and potential new courses to be offered to SILA members. This pivotal position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, such as helping to make and enforce rules and regulations for SILA’s actions, overseeing committees and task forces, ratifying changes to the organization’s bylaws, and participating in the fiduciary responsibilities of the Board of Directors.
